The Shelby house

Can you say ADORABLE?!!! I love this little cottage...It's called the Shelby house and guess what?!...you can rent it!! :) It is actually a bed and breakfast located in Round Top, Texas.
I stayed here on a buying trip awhile back and really enjoyed myself!! Talk about peace and quiet...oh and the bluebonnets!!! They where in bloom everywhere!!...the backyard was like a blanket of bluebonnets. So beautiful!

Simply stunning!

So cozy! Note the little table behind the sofa...very similar to the one I posted a few days ago on my weekend buying trip.

Love this bed! The only thing I would change would be to add lots of white linens and a white down comforter! I'll post more photos and the contact info for this adorable B&B on Monday! Have a great weekend!

Weekend Shopping Trip - Part Two!!

Here are a few more fabulous finds I spotted last weekend.

This gorgeous half round trellis would be stunning over a fireplace or over a headboard! I wish I would have taken a close-up photo. The Patina was so beautiful.

Isn’t this little glass-top table adorable!?! It would be so cute in an entry-way with an open book lying on top of it, some greenery in an old distressed urn and a great piece of artwork hanging on the wall above it. I can see it in a cute little cottage somewhere.

Don’t you just wanna cuddle up with a book and a blanket on this sweet chaise?!

I adore this black plant stand!! This would be amazing with a huge antique urn sitting on it with a bright green fern spilling over its edges! Two stands would be even better sitting in opposite corners of a dining room, each with a huge urn and fern.

And last but not least...is this lovely or what? It was a little windy that day so the shutters where leaning a bit. Don't you just love the patina on these shutters and the contrast of the light decorative items against the dark background. Pure bliss!

Weekend shopping trip

Hi friends!
I had a great shopping trip last weekend… but I’m recovering from the flu now and just getting back to the studio. I thought I would share with you some eye candy I found while out and about recently…

Are these chairs fabulous or what!?! Oh my goodness! I would have snatched them up if it weren't for the $1500 price tag! Yikes! They are lovely though… ;) sigh!

I can’t believe I just noticed the dusty blue/rusted basket next to the chairs! How did I miss that?! I guess I was so in love with the chairs I couldn’t see anything else.
Here’s a closer look…

This basket would be perfect next to the door in a beach cottage, filled with white, rolled up beach towels. Ooh…or what about in a craft room, filled with bolts of fabric or rolls of girly wrapping paper! Love it!

Simply beautiful!! I love these colors and finishes!! What a sweet room this would make.
Ok, one more look at this gorgeous bed…

I could spend all day lounging on that beauty! I’ll show you more goodies tomorrow in part two. This market has too many sweet treasures for one post! Have a blessed day!!

New Beginnings!

Hi Everyone!
This is me, Fawn, with two of my lil' guys at the beach on a buying trip...LOL! When am I NOT on a buying trip? :)

I'm embarrassed to admit I don't have a family photo with my third son as of yet...bad mommy!...and he's already 16 months! Time flies when you're havin' fun shoppin'! Family photo day is on the calender!! Really!

We live in Texas...not that y'all wouldn't figure that out with all my southern slang. ;)
I have owned an interior design business for over 11 years now, and have always enjoyed creating and making things beautiful since before I can remember. I love to shop, shop, shop for pieces that have a beautiful patina to them and I occasionally share the furniture I find with others...but only when my studio is busting at the seams. J/k.

I adore the look of vintage, time-worn and distressed pieces. The way they blend seamlessly with new items to create a one of a kind home, leaves me too excited to sleep some nights. Especially when I have a new truck-load of treasures just waiting to be brought to the Patina Soul studio.

Everything in my home and studio is something I love, has a purpose and a story...a Patina...a Soul...it speaks of how its been cared for and loved...thus the name of my business and blog... "Patina Soul".

I hope you enjoy the beauty and bliss to come... Get your coffee cup ready and hold on...its gunna be a great ride!
