It's about time!!

Don't you love this clock?! I ran across it this
past weekend during my visit to the greatest antique show in Texas!

This is actually a coffee table but in this photo it looks more like a kitchen table...I bent down low for the photo. I have one very similar in my living room, but my coffee table is square.
By the way, I will be posting photos soon of my home. So check back to see our beautiful Texas lake house!!
Another fabulous clock!! It was sold by the time our paths crossed, but that just means I can keep looking for more great treasures! This one would have been a huge budget buster!! You can't really tell from the photo but this clock is about 4 1/2 feet in diameter!! It was massive and beauuuuuutiful!!!
Oh for the love of the hunt!! Believe it or not there are some great finds hiding in there!!

oooh I am in love!! I guess you can tell by now I have a thing for old clocks! I would give up coffee to own one of these time worn treasures! ....well maybe, I'll have to think about that a little longer. I do love me some good coffee!!!!!!

I should have ran with money in hand to buy this darling box. It would have been perfect for my art supplies, or on a table with some hydrangeas planted in it...oh the one that got away!
Why do we second guess ourselves!! Hmmm?...must be that word called "budget"!

Tomorrow I'll show you a few more treasures from this weekends shopping trip.

3rd and final delay

After the cruise my husband and kids met me in New Orleans. We spent a few days in the Garden District and the French Quarter, then we drove back to Texas.

This is the "Queen Ann B & B" where we stayed while in New Orleans.

I Loved this little restaurant in the French Quarter. Mostly for the amazing Bloody Mary’s ;)

...but also because of these old brick walls. They were fabulous!!

So I'm all out of excuses and its time to get back to work…I love my job!!

Last weekend I was out and about and found tons of goodies that will be arriving at the studio soon. I'm also going shopping this weekend and I know I'll return with some great finds!

The Shelby (Outpost Inn) part two!!

Gorgeous!! So girlie and cozy!! This is what those of us in Texas refer to as "Texas Cottage".
Lil bit of Texas, whole lot of cottage!! :)

This is such a great example of what you can do with distressed architectural pieces. The four posters of this bed are old porch columns and the metal headboard and foot board...well, their from an old fence!! The owner of this adorable B & B, Lenore Prud'Homme, has a great eye for all things old and chippy...A girl after my own heart!

The outpost has been featured in Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion, Country Home and Southern Living, just to name a few. The above and below photos are from Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion where they were featured in September of 2000!! Funny how great style can still be "in style" 9 years later!
For more eye candy and to check out the amazing barn at the Outpost Inn where breakfast is served each morning to a few lucky guests, check out their website... http://www.outpostinn.com.

I really enjoyed my stay at the outpost and look forward to returning soon! I'll be in the area this weekend but unfortunately the Outpost was already booked.
I will however be staying at another B & B in the Roundtop area on my weekend buying trip and will be taking photos for you. Can't wait!!!
